Tradie Catch › How it works
How it worksThree steps. One of them is yours, and it takes a few minutes.
Divert your calls once, connect your calendar, and from then on every job arrives as a text.
Divert your calls, connect your calendar
A one-time setting on your mobile diverts the calls you don't pick up. We give you the codes for Telstra, Optus and Vodafone, and your phone still rings first. Then tap Connect your calendar: Google, Outlook or iPhone. No app to download.
It answers and books the job
- Caller hangs up first? They get a text back within seconds.
- Switched on, a friendly Australian AI voice answers and gets the job, suburb, address, urgency and name.
- It checks your live calendar and books them in during the call, near jobs you've already got in that area, with driving time allowed.
- Only suburbs you cover. Emergencies are texted to you during the call.
You get one text per job
Name, suburb, job, urgency, the booked time and a link to the recording. Reply "book 2pm", "yep book it" or "I'll ring them". A weekly scorecard lands by text too.
Setting up the call divert.
Works on Telstra, Optus and Vodafone
Call divert is a standard setting on all three. You set it once on your mobile by dialling a short code, like making a call, and we give you the exact code for your phone and number.
Your phone still rings first
It only diverts calls you don't answer.
Smaller providers
Smaller providers that run on those networks usually work the same way; we'll check yours with you.
Easy to undo
Because it's just a call divert, you can switch the divert off on your phone any time and your calls go back to exactly how they were.
Then connect your calendar
Google Calendar, Outlook / Microsoft 365, or the iPhone (iCloud) calendar. How calendar booking works.
What you need
- Your mobile, on Telstra, Optus or Vodafone
- A few minutes to dial the divert code we give you
- Your Google, Outlook or iPhone calendar login
- No app to download

Fair questions.
Does call divert work on Telstra, Optus and Vodafone?
Yes. Call divert is a standard setting on all three. You set it once on your mobile by dialling a short code, like making a call, and we give you the exact code for your phone and number. It only diverts calls you don't answer, so your phone still rings first. Smaller providers that run on those networks usually work the same way; we'll check yours with you.
Which calendars does it work with?
Google Calendar, Outlook / Microsoft 365, and the iPhone (iCloud) calendar. You tap Connect your calendar on your settings page and sign in. For iPhone you make an app-specific password at account.apple.com and paste it in once. Some company Microsoft 365 accounts need their IT admin to approve it first. It books during the call, into the calendar you already use, so the job shows up on your phone like any other.
Can I turn it off?
Yes. Text "turn it off". And because it's just a call divert, you can switch the divert off on your phone any time and your calls go back to exactly how they were.
